In 2006 Spark Networks was listed on the AMEX (now called the NYSE American) stock exchange At this time Spark Networks had over 20 brands (including MatchNet,, and SilverSingles).
The new acquisition gave Spark Networks control over brands like Christian Mingle (which launched in 2001) and all the other Mingle brands (like Single Parent Mingle). In January of 2005 MatchNet changed their name to Spark Networks and in May of the same year purchased MingleMatch Inc. The first dating service created in 1997 was with American Singles soon following.
